Athleta San Luis Obispo approached me with an idea to create an inspiring and striking art piece on the windows adjacent to their business to boost awareness and social media interaction. We came up with the copy and then I designed artwork to go with it. Athleta values creating an inclusive community that empowers women and girls. This inspired a silhouette of a female that viewers could interpret as themselves. As a recognized B Corp, they also value sustainability and know the importance of reducing environmental impact. This commitment to reducing waste and the “you are growing” inspired the foliage framing the subject.

This artwork is located in a highly trafficked alleyway in downtown San Luis Obispo, CA. For the first six months it was displayed, viewers who walked by were encouraged to scan the QR code (not pictured), take a picture in front of the artwork, and tag Athleta for a chance to win a gift card.
